Marie's Story
Hi Everyone,
Hope all of you on Classmates are doing well. I have
been living in West Palm Beach, Florida for the past
30 years or so. I love it. The only problem is, where do you retire to when you already live in Florida.
My Dad was already down here when I was splitting
with my husband in 1978, so I packed up my stuff and
down I came. For most of my years I worked in Interior Design, both running someone elses business
and then having a business of my own. My current
husband who I met down here in 1981 is a painting
contractor, so the two went hand in hand. I am now
lucky enough to be semi-retired and I also have a
Real Estate license. My Mom finally got tired of the snow and ice and moved to West Palm Beach 13 years ago. My oldest daughter Tina is 36 and has given me 2 grandsons that I adore. She is a medical asst. in a doctor's office. My younger daught...Expand for more
er, Kristen is both an R.N. and a massage therapist. She
was married for a while but it didn't work out and she
hasn't had any children yet. I love having them all close by and don't even mind when the northern relatives come to visit to get away from the cold. Phyllis and I keep in constant touch and I was lucky enough to spend an evening with her last August when I was in NY for a few days for a family event.
The picture I posted was taken in November of 2007.
My daughter Kristen is the one with the light blond hair in an updo and Tina has the longer straighter hair. The occasion was a friend of Kristen's wedding. Kris was in the wedding party and I officiated at the ceremony. I am a Notary Public and have performed
about 6 wedding ceremonies over the years. I hope we can get a 40th reunion going to give me an excuse to come up and see everybody.
