Marie's Story
Life
After High School I got married to Joe Rettig, whom I dated during High School. I went to work in NY for 3 years. I left on maternity leave in 1967. I moved to Bergen County, where I live today (35 yrs.). I had 3 children (2 girls and 1 boy). I stayed at home raising my children. In approx. 1983 I started working part-time nights and week-ends. l time. I became an elementary school secretary and I'm still there. In 1996 Joe went home to be with the Lord. My children are now grown and my two girls are married, my son is single. I am the proud Grandma of 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson. They range in age from 18 yrs. to 4 yrs.. I love my job and enjoy working with children. I enjoy my family, friends and going out.
