Marie's Story

Life Sort of Hindu/Buddhist/Jain who travels to the East a lot. Too warp-speed oriented to meditate, but I'm a wannabe! Love great books, blues and music from other places, the weirder the better. I run, work out and ride my horses. Help Ever, Hurt Never School My biggest crush...that would be hard to say. I fell in love with someone new on the half hour. Least-likely-to-notice-my-presence-on-planet earth would have to have been an enigmatic preppy named M.K. He was in a Math class with me so zip/nada chance to impress him with brains. I can't count to twenty without taking off my shoes. He seemed terribly smart and tres enigmatic. Not conventionally handsome but ...DAMN! too much "doe eyes of death" make-up and ran with the kids who'd be called hippies in a couple of years. My idea of fashion was a pair of Beatle boots. Hopeless. Hated classes with dumbbell coaches. (Sorry, jocks. Those guys were numbskulls, you gotta admit. ) I remember the dean's eyebrows with a life of their own. McNulty. Those babies were REAL ESTATE, but he was a good guy. Ms. Weintraub. The best. The very best. Shall remain nameless-- the teacher who came with his own motorcycle and started immediately hitting on the prettiest teacher at school. Total poser. Workplace Ex-teacher, Now horse breeder and freelance writer and magazine editor. Military The very word "military" is anathema to me. From Vietnam to Iraq...not necessary. We need, as a species, to find another way. This ain't workin'.
