Marilyn's Story

Life My Name is Marilyn Nogales. My name in high school was Marilyn Boldt. I married Frank Nogales on December 13, 1979, and December 13, 1980. (We would have had our 28 anniversary this year, and thanks for the roses honey.) Isn't that wierd! (No, we were married once civily, and once through the church.) I died on August 15, 2007, 2 days after my 54th birthday from uterine cancer. My husband, Frank, is writing this bio for me because we always talked about our high school when I was alive, and I thought you all might be interested in knowing a little about my life. We went to our 30th reunion in 2002, and I was so glad to see you all there. Elsie and Sharon and I hung out together! I have one daugher, Melissa, who is 26 years old. Frank and I loved each other so much when I was alive. I see that he and Melissa miss me greatly. We had a good life together, and I am so greatful for all those years. We owned beautiful homes, and had great adventures. We owned businesses, properties, and I supported Frank throughout all of his athletic endeavors, and even through law school. He says he wouldn't have made it without me. I was with Melissa in all of her times of need and hardship too, and I was always devoted to her. She was such a good daughter! And she turned out to be quite the athlete and student, just like her dad. She's doing so well now, and I am so proud of her! Now that I am dead, I know that life will be hard for Frank and Melissa. I see that they cry every day for me, and I know that it's so hard to live without me after all these years. But know that I am with God now, and I will wait for all of you in Heaven. God bless you all, and happy new year this year, and all the years to come!! School Jeneane Minke and I hung around together. We had a blast. I saw Jeneane at my funeral. She is not well, either. When I got to heaven, I saw all my family, my father (died Dec 1971 when I was in high school, remember?), my mom (she died in 1987), my brother, STeve (graduated from Hart in 1969 and died in 2002), Butch (Jerome, who graduated from Heart in 1965 and died of cancer, right before I did in July 2007), and I even saw Terri McMaster, who died last year. Anybody remember her? I had a fantastic year in 2005 and 2006 before I died. I lived in a grand house in Chandler, AZ. with a beautiful pool near a manmade lake. The house even had palm trees!! I told Frank that that was the happiest year of my life. He didn't understand that because he was living in CAL because that is where he worked...Expand for more
. But he is greatful that I was able to live happily before I died, and I thank God for that. (God's so much more Good looking that what I thought!) I am sorry that I didn't do alot of things though, like go on a 1 week cruise, go to Sedona, AZ. and shop, go to Hearst Castle, and stay at an expensive hotel drinking coffee in the morning, and overlooking the ocean. My advise to all of you is live your dreams now, and today, because we don't know when our lives will end! College I went to College of the Canyons in 1985 when we were still living in Newhall. Later on, I went to Glendale community college in AZ. I found out I was a good student!! I'm more proud of my daughter, Melissa, who went to CAL ST Northidge. She's having problems right now, I know she misses me greatly. She doesn't know that I watch over her, and come to her in her dreams alot. Last week I went to her, telling her that she wasn't going to be able to physically see me and talk to me anymore, but that I was always going to be with her until she joins me in heaven. In another dream, I came to her. She asked me why didn't I die when she was by my side. I told her that I didn't want her to see me die, so I waited until she left the hospital. I died 10 minutes later. I hope she forgives me! She told me that she is going to finish her college and go to law school. I'm not allowed to tell her about her future (you know God's rules), but let me tell you, she is going to join her father in a successful law practice soon! Workplace I worked at Diamond Engineering and Jay's Restaurant in the 70's, KMART, Target in the 80's and 90's, and then at Michael's in AZ before I died. But I had to quit Michael's because my daughter was very sick, and I had to care for her in 2005 and 2006. Mostly, I worked as a housewife and mother, taking care and spoiling my family. Isn't that work too? Military I didn't go into the military in my life. Thank God my husband was spared of going to VIetnam, since they abolished the draft in 1972, when we turned 18! My brother, Butch, went to Vietnam though, for two tours of duty in 1967. I was so proud of him defending our country, even though that war was so political! He ended up becoming a disabled vet, and lived with me in AZ for 3 months before he died in July 2007. that time was very special to us! I know Butch was so looking forward to watching football on his new television set this year, but God had other plans for him. But we're in heaven now, telling my husband Frank what to write about us!
