Marilyn's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I received an AA Degree from San Jose City College, and worked for the phone company until I married a minister. We pastored a church in Southern Oregon but retired in 2013. Also, we are involved in overseas missions work. I have been to Norway, East Africa, and China. I have two sons, ages 37 and 43. The youngest is married and a missionary in Perth, Australia with Youth With A Mission. The oldest is single and works for the CDC in China. He has Missions on his mind. ad a great time but developed a DVT/PE due to the long plane flight. I am fine now and have learned a very valuable lesson...do not fall asleep on a plane but instead get up and move around at least once an hour. We went back to Australia this year, and everything was fine as I was very proactive on the plane.
I have nice memories of my high school years, and have a great marriage for 45 years to a good man. Can hardly believe it is Medicare/Retirement time, but I am thankful to still be on 'Planet Earth'. Not sure at this time if I can attend the 50 year reunion. We'll see.l
