Marilyn's Story
It's hard to believe its really 2012 ! We are starting to think more serious about retirement.
We have 20 grandchildren with another on the way. Of our 7 children, we have one son still single. Our grandchildren are from the west coast to the east coast; makes traveling to see them rather exciting.
When I visit this site, I'm a little surprised more people haven't written stories of what has happened the last 40 + years.
Isn't it amazing, many of us only knew each other for the 4 years of high school, yet we recall so much from those few short years! Some say,' we spend the rest of our lives getting over high school.' I can say many of you made a huge impression in my life. If anybody is still hanging on to their Diamond Jubilee Shorthand book and answer book, I'd be thrilled to purchase it from you. SERIOUSLY !!! I think I will post that on the public notes.
I was in Westville last year at the burial for my sister in law, Beverly Markham. Such a sad time. Everything happened so fast I really didn't have time to make contact with those that it would have been nice to have seen.

f '63 through '68 are still around. Does the Westville Reporter still publish news?
Well, next month, May__,1968 is 44 years since graduation for about 63 of us !!!! I'm in awe of the way time flies!!
So, drop me a note and I'll try to be attentive to answering the notifications. I had thought about not renewing my subscription but also thought maybe to try connecting again with some of you.
This is November of 2021 , so another year is about to end !!
Its been 53 YEARS since class of 1968 graduated. OH MY !!! Again, I must say, Where has the time gone !
We have a new residence, South Carolina !! Two of our sons live here, and 9 of our grandchildren. We are about to become Great-grandparents times two.. Must say, I am pretty excited about that. AND both are girls !!
I was in Westville briefly last April. It has aged a lot in all the years ! I understand many people I knew have passed away at a fairly young age. So very sad to hear!!
And there was a quick stop in Douglass, KS also. Too, the town seems not very lively!
I suppose that's not much of an update in my life, nor very exciting, but I thought I would update this at least. Take care !!
