Marilyn Mattson:  

Dear Classmates of 1961, I am happy to greet you after all these years. I am an active, vibrate 77 year old living in Pleasant Hill, CA. I have enjoyed my life experiences as an fashion designer, portrait/landscape painter, art dealer, non-profit program director, development director and for the past 15 years therapeutic massage therapist. I am still working part time. Playing piano at senior residents is a fun pastime. My son John Lund is a professional graphic artist and photographer. I have two adorable granddaughters Uma, age 10 and Mira, age 8. My family lives in Bellingham, WA. My two sisters Marsha and Suzanne live near me in the Bay Area. I have been married twice. Gary Lund, Graphic Artist, is the father of my son. We lived in Venice, CA in the 70s. In the 80s I moved to Albuquerque, NM and lived in the 500 Second artists live/work building. I worked at The NM Center of Community Education and initiated a successful nutrition reform in the public schools. My Nutrition Action Program for Public Schools was recognized by Senator Pete Dominici and entered in The Congressional Record, Washington, DC on my birthday on January 31, 1981. From 1983-86 I represented 100 southwest artists as an art dealer/consultant. In 1992, I married Dail Miller, economic director, and lived in The Marina District of San Francisco for 7 years. I worked as an executive assistant in San Francisco for many major corporations such as PG&E, Bechtel, Wells Fargo, Marsh McClennan and BofA. I wore many hats over my life.
