Life Since leaving East High School, my road led me to deep South Texas (7 miles from Mexico). It has been a happy life for the most part with the exception of two things. In 1982 I lost my only child, Eric,at the age of 12. He was in Cheyenne working on a ranch my uncle had and was killed in an accident on the ranch. One never gets over the loss of a child, but life does go on. My other great regret was the loss of my husband of 36 years in 2006 to the dreaded cancer. He was a good man and he took me on adventures I would never have gone on had I stayed in Cheyenne. I work in a hospital as an Administrative Assistant, which is the career I have had most of my life, just for different businesses - Insurance company, a university school of business, and a chain of convenience stores.
