Marion's Story
Life
Analy High School was my 17th school to attend. My Dad did all kinds of things for a living and he didn't think twice about moving his family. I vowed to remain in one place after marrying. Having been married now for 44 years I have moved only 3 times: to Vallejo, when I married, staying there for the first 35 years and moving only once within that time. We have now lived in the country in Scottsdale, AZ and currently have our home up for sale. We have 2 children, their mates and 5 grandchildren. They all live within an hour from us. Living in the country has been great but closer to town would be more convenient.
At 38 years old I went to New College of California and earned my B.A. in Humanities, then on to National University in Sacramento for my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I have been a Counselor now for 16 years. As a Christi...Expand for more
an, I counsel with the Word of God and Prayer. I find people obtain emotional healing much faster that way: no 10 year committment to counseling with this. The healings are deep, thorough and absoloutely amazing. My home is large and has been a beautiful and peaceful retreat center for people to come and stay for 3 days at a time so that I can work with them. People fly in from several states to do this. I sit with them anywhere from 15 to 25 hours when they are here. Do people pay me to sit and pray with them for hours at a time in order to hear God's Truth regarding the things they believe about themselves? Yes, people do.
I do regret being reluctant and self conscious when I was in school at Analy. But I had learned from experience not to get too attached. It could have been so much more fun.
