Marion Bottomley:  

I attended grade 12 in Monreal, then Marianopolis College where in 1972 I met Derek Bottomley from Westmount & Ste Adele. Derek and I were married in 1974 in Ste Agathe and we lived there for a few years before moving to Niagara where we've been for almost 29 years (but with 3 house moves while here). We are still together and happy about it. We have 3 children: Crispin 28, Ian 25, and Melissa 23. We are the grandparents of Nia, born in April 2007 and Ethan, born March 2009, to Ian and his wife Michele who live in the NWT where our son is a pilot. Melissa is attending university for a degree in Criminal Justice. She comes home for the holidays and to work in the summer months. Crispin has 2 degrees & is office manager for Niagara Classic Cabs and works part time for the Niagara Parks Commission. He lives in Niagara and is a volunteer fire fighter, a member of Search & Rescue, and on several Boards locally. Derek was a volunteer firefighter for 15 years. He works fulltime and is involved in photography and CIM. I am on our church's altar guild and a member of the ACW. I've sat on the parent councils of every school my children have attended. And I've volunteered with a seniors health centre. For a couple of years I cared for my mother, who lived with us as my father couldn't look after her.
