Marion's Story
After graduation I went to work as a cashier at Hills Deptment Store in Boardman. I got married in 1963 to someone that graduated from Chaney High School. I met him in my freshman year at Princeton Jr. High. We had two children a boy and a girl and then moved to Dayton Ohio in 1971. In 1977 we divorced. I then worked for an olympic hair designer in Dayton and was manager of one of the hair salons there. I got to travel to six different countries with the hair designers . In 1980 I had an opportunity to work in computers in the bay area and I moved with my son to San Jose, Calif. for a computer tape librarian position. That business folded in three years and I went to work as a lady car salesman for a big Ford Dealership. After learning the car business I opened my own auto detailing business . We detailed for all the dealerships in the area. In 1987 I remarried and in 1988 I gave birth to twin girls at the age of 45. They both are members of the National Honor Society and I am so proud of them. What got me through was my trust and my faith and my strength in Jesus Christ. He was all I needed to raise the girls He blessed me with. I have been unmarried now 11 years and it is fine with me as I am not out looking. I have four grandchildren ages 23 down to 18 and I have three daughters. My son passed away in 2000 from a heart ailment he acquired in the jail when he worked as a sheriff's deputy in Calif. He left a boy and girl and they are in Texas. My other two granchildren live in Tennessee and my grandaughter got married at the end of June after she graduated from college.
