Marissa's Story
Life
And now, for my next trick... I'm a mom! Nothing like waiting awhile. This is our first (human) kiddo, and we have spent much of the past few months trying to prepare our other 'children', cats Campi (17!) and Maggie (9), along with pup Jake (3). Peyton Wilson Jones made us a family unit on June 24, 2006. A very exciting time, indeed!
I moved to Phoenix, AZ in the spring of '98 and am ticking off another HOT summer (my LEAST favorite time of year, though I love it otherwise). I married my husband (first and only!), Bruce, in September of '00 and we have spent most of our life together here, except for two years in Denver when we were first married. Last summer I returned to school full-time to study Web and Graphic Design, leaving behind an accidental career in Retail and Restaurant Management (it was time!).

but I doubt I ever could have imagined living in the desert (in the suburbs no less!), a full-time student (read that as no job at the moment!), happily married, and a new mom to my first child--wow! The road has been unexpected but lovely. Life is good and rarely dull. Bruce heads the production department of a local tv station and we travel whenever possible, especially enjoying lazy days spent on back roads here in AZ and throughout the west. We are lucky to have family in beautiful places like north Idaho, Colorado and San Antonio, and, though I no longer have family in Indy, we get back there every few years as well. I miss it a bunch these days.
Whether it is the coming of the 20-year milestone or simply the hormones that came with pregnancy, I wonder lots about where life took my classmates. Please be in touch if you are at all inclined--I'd love to hear other stories :)
