Life
Every year I spend as much of the summer as possible on the Outer Banks of North Carolina with our four boys. Hattaras Island does not have all the frills my sisters and I had growing up on the Jersey Shore, mostly because it's protected "National Seashore". Last year my parents built a beach house in Avon Village, about 40 minutes north of Cape Hatta...Expand for more
ras. There have been times when we are the only ones down on the beach (like it used to be at Mantaloking Beach). Aaaahhh............the way it feels to lay in the sand, listen to the surf, breathe in the salt air, and bask in the warmth of the sun (or look up at the stars at night)..........the beach has got to be the closest thing to heaven on earth !
