Mark's Story
Life
After almost 33 years since Henry Clay High School, I'm still in the Bluegrass Region. I enjoyed seeing many of you at our 30 Year Reunion! As of 03/16/08, I've been married 23 years to the former Cathy Bologna, and life is good! We took a second honeymoon trip in June, 2005 to our first honeymoon city, New Orleans, and had a great time! We're SO glad we got to go see it one last time the way it was, just before Katrina hit! We have one daughter, Brittany, who is a Senior in Danville High School this year, and so we're busy doing all the college discernment stuff. We have another daughter, Adrienne, who died of birth defects at age one month in December, 1995, which is why we did not attend the 20 year class reunion held Thankgiving weekend that year. We have also suffered through 5 miscarriages over the years, so Brittany is our "miracle baby". ...Expand for more
We've had a lot of critters over the years, but our Boston Terrier, Sasha, died last year and so now we're down to one mellowing 11-old cat named Mariah. I earned my BA in Social Work in 1982, and my MSW in 1993, both from UK. I am a Court Specialist with the Ky. Department of Juvenile Justice. I spend a lot of time in the Juvenile Courts of six counties, and also work with the Juvenile Sex Offenders in this district. I became a Catholic in 1993, and am very active in both my parish and the diocese as a cantor, a catechist, and an advocate. I teach both adult and highschool classes, and sub as needed. I'm also active with the Knights of Columbus. My dad died of cancer in 2003, but my mom's still alive and well. My sister, Karen, lives in Hazard with her husband and has three children, the oldest of which is graduating from UK soon. Take care, y'all!!!
