Mark's Story
Life
I live in a small historic town near Myrtle Beach, SC. I was introduced to a the south by my mother, who relocated here in 1999. I moved here from Las Vegas in 2002 - fell in love with the history of the south, a 1885 Victorian home and a Brazilian woman. Married the woman, bought the house and am steadily making history in this historic town.
I make a living with several web-based businesses, buy and sell antiques and love to travel.
I have 5 children, 27, 25, 23, 17 and 14. My baby girl Shelby 14 lives with my wife and I in the old house. We fondly refer to the house as the "old girl" since it has a whimsically 19th century feel. A Victorian built by the man who build the house next door. He built this little 3000 SF home for his daughter in 1885. I don't know all the history, but know that the old girl still has lots of life in her.. (the house). No ghosts!
If you've never been to the south, do yourself a favor and check it out someday. Charleston, SC is one of my favorite places so far!
1977 to now:

st Airlines
1983 Moved to AZ with America West Airlines
1984 Moved to CO with America West Airlines
1988 Moved back to Las Vegas ...same airline.. same genius
1989 Lost my dad to a heart attack.. Bad year!
Oh... 1986 got divorced.
1992 Left that airline and went to work for another
1996 Started my own landscaping company (The Lawn Ranger)
1998 Went to work for Nevada Power Co.. Grrr.. Dreadful!
2001 Walk away from the job and Las Vegas and moved south.
2003 Met the woman of my dreams
2004 Had heart surgery... Whew close call! bad eating and too many years of being a genius caught up to me.
Today, things are great! Happy and working hard every day to keep this life I live and love moving forward.
That's it in a nutshell! Oh, yeah.. either my IQ has decreased or I'm not the genius I thought I was in 1977.
I do ok and I'm happy with that, but there's something new to learn everyday we're here on this earth (life 101). It's a work in progress for me.
Have a great family too... Mom & Step-dad, Cherri (1976 WHS Grad) Charlotte (1978 WHS Grad), Valorie (1979 WHS Grad), Tara, and brother Lance... just to mention a few.
