Mark's Story
Well I wish I could say that I've traveled the world and seen and done everything. Truth is, after I graduated from High School I spent some time in college and then started working at Lowe's where I've spent the last 20+ years climbing the corporate ladder. I consider myself very fortunate to have been a part of such a great organization for so many years.
I've been blessed with a wonderful wife who dated me for 7 years before we married 13 years ago (she is a 15 year Lowe¿s veteran as well). She¿s had the pleasure of seeing see me go from a lean, mean, hair styling machine to a not so lean, not so mean dude with a head slick as a bean. We have 2 boys who are the highlight of both our lives. My oldest just started Kindergarten while my youngest is into everything following his big brother around trying to emulate his every move. e to hike, go boating, play board games, Wii games or any type of sport. As long as we are hanging out together as a family we're good.
We live in Mooresville, NC where Lowe's relocated a large portion of its corporate headquarters 5-6 years ago. My job has afforded me the opportunity to travel domestically as well as internationally so I have traveled a small portion of the world. I just have a lot more to do.
I still see a lot of the friends I grew up with back in Wilkes. We get together as often as we can which isn¿t much considering we all have families of our own. When we do get together, we just hang out and spend a lot of time talking about to good ole days back at WCSHS.
Long term goals are to retire from Lowe's, create a start-up and devote as much time as I can to my family.
