Mark's Story
Life
My wife Beth and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. We were married in May 2005 and Beth is now expecting a baby girl in May 2009. She works for Unitrin-Kemper Auto and Home as a Senior Business Analyst. We have 2 boys from my first marriage. They are Adam (14), and Connor (13). Adam's a musician (piano, guitar, clarinet) and into Track & Field for his school. Connor's into basketball - having made his 7th grade team as a starter this season. He's also going out for track & field in the Spring 2009. After nearly 20 years at Kemper Insurance, I left to broaden my horizons by serving our industry rather than just one company in July 2005. I helped get them off the ground these past few years, but in April 2008 I made the decision to leave them to pursue another insurance industry related opportunity as VP of Business Development at ICA, Inc. ICA is a National Property Claim Appraisal Services company based in Charlotte. You can check out both of these companies on the web.
Bottom line - all is well. We have ups and downs, just like everyone, but we're healthy, happy and always trying to enjoy life to the fullest possible!
College
I studied Business Administration at Bryant & Stratton in Syracuse, NY right out of high school. Later, I studied Business Information Management at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, IL. I hold Associate Certifications from the Insurance Institute of America in General Insurance and in Claims Management.
