Mark's Story
Life
Live in Sounthern California. Married, no kids. Left coastside in 1994. Play guitar, play footbag, still run across the hill and dale! Collect movies, music & trash. Publish web sites & pulp newsletters. I do a pretty good job keeping track of classmates and friends. Helped put on the 25th High School Reunion Weekend, hope to help out with the next Reunion Weekend July 21, 2012. Everyone's invited! Have all hair, most teeth, not to tubby yet. Still a punk and wanna be!
School
I had a really great time in high school. I should have concentrated on school work more and less on smoking pot and hanging out but, I learned how to abalone dive, work wood and get along with others (Thx Dwayne Dinucci), I got pretty good at running (Thx Mr. Calvin and Gary Dilly), I learned how to play guitar (Thx Cotruvo Brothers), music appreciation (Thx Mr. MacSems), and I made and have kept many friends for life. While High School wasn't THE high point in life, it certainly was one of them!
College
I went to the College of San Mateo, many times, but I finally made it through. That's a big deal for me, being the C student I was in High School. I majored in Machine Tool Technology and I did way b...Expand for more
etter than I thought I would have done. I mean come on! I got A's in Geometry, Trigonometry, Tech Drawing and more classes I would have failed at miserable in high school.
Workplace
During and after I graduated, I worked for Debbie Martin's father building homes on the coast for a few years, great family, cool job. Then I worked for the Cabrillo Unified School District as a custodian for a couple of years. After that I worked for a local lumber yard for a few years, and then I put in 9 years at the Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside. Great job but I burnt out on the coastside life style, the fog started to get to me and just the day in and day out of it all. Little did I know then that you can't move away from that part of life, but you can move from the fog! I moved down south of Riverside California and worked for 4 years in a FAA Aircraft Repair Station, good job but the hours and the pressure was just too much! Then I went back to Water and Sewage. So far, 12 years at this site. Good work, pays well and gives me the time off I need to pursue my many passions. Currently my passion for web site building, audio and video projects and that sort of stuff takes up a great amount of time.
