Mark's Story
After graduation, I took my broken heart to the Coast Guard Academy, missing Woodstock behind its walls in New London. I transferred to Stanford after two years, majoring in physics, wrestling, and fraternity (Phi Delts). I moved on to Michigan, for more of same in Engineering, gathering a MS & PhD, just as Gerald Ford left office. Loving academics, I hired on as Asst Prof at Northwestern, until nuclear power plants began to melt, then gave it all up for medical school (on the advise and help from classmate Mark "Bla...Expand for more
ck" Davis). Upon finishing, I married Dr. Ann Tran, completed a radiology residency at Johns Hopkins, practiced in Boston, Wash DC, Tennessee, and back to Wash DC; raising three kids along the way.
I have thought about all you Acalanes Dons and all good times we had together, and miss most of you. I look forward to our 40th reunion and sharing our stories.
Now anticipating the 50th reunion in 2019. Still residing in Annapolis, MD near Jim David. Retired from medicine on 12-18-16 and started writing that book.
