Mark's Story

(Updated April 2012) I have my own locksmith business in Tigard, Oregon and I'm taking an online course in Property Management to get my Property Management License in Oregon. So what ever happed to Penelope (Penny) Tibbetts? She when to Hamilton Junior High in 1970. In 1978, I saw Penny at the Der Wienerschnitzel, I think it was on E. Artesia Blvd, in Bellflower, California, I was dating someone then but forgot to look for Penny after I broke up with the girl I was seeing. And before I saw Penny at Der Wienerschnitzel I saw her at the Church on the corner of Orange Ave and E 70th St in North Long Beach, California, on Holloween. She wanted me to go thru the Hunted House that was at the Church. I was there because my friend Ed Garton was there with his family. It was Ed's church. I think Penny was wearing white jeanes at that time. I have been searching on the web for years now to see what ever happened to Penny. It's been bugging me for many, many years now. Back then, I was to shy to ask her out and now I just want to see where she is, what does she look like now, is she still living? If you hear anything please let me know by searching markerrington on the web and you will find me. What's happening with me now is that I'm single, no kids, I have lots of web sites so finding me is no problem. I started a small locksmithing business, Mark's Locksmith here in Beaverton, Oregon. I meet a lot of nice people. Great job, flexible hours! I am also an Apartment Manager here where I live at Wood Tree Apartment in Beaverton, Oregon. The apartment size is about 14 units and I manager a 4-plex next door. I still have many web sites, about 35, most of them are not completed. I still have my part time businesses, Eugene Hosting (a web host provider), Amazon Computer Service (computer repair, upgrade, etc.), and ME Studios Photography. So far, I have lived in 3 states, moved about 35+ times, and had 30+ jobs from the age of 16 to age 52 (now). I hate being single, someday I still might find someone. Maybe if I would stay in one place long enought I might meet someone...you would think so, huh! :) ------------------ My family left Torrance, California around 1963, when I was about 5 yrs old. I just finished Kindergarten. We moved to North Long Beach, California, to a big house at 6801 Orange Ave. I went to Ulysses S. Grant Elementary School from 1965-1970, then went to Alexander Hamilton Middle School from 1971-1973, then went to David Starr Jordan School from 1974-1975. I didn't finish high school because my parents got a divorce and I dropped out of school around December 1995 with just 6 months to go. I lived with my mom and my sister (15 1/2 yrs old) for about 6 months until my mom found a new boyfriend and moved in with him around March 1976, leaving me with just my 1970 VW Bug and no place to live and leaving my sister with no place to go but to move in with her boyfriend for a short time then she moved in with my Dad. For me, just left out in the street with no place to live... ...this gets picked up by going to my web site and seeing the list of jobs and it also shows where I lived. Later on in life I got a GED Certificate (1993) and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Video Communication (1996 - 2000), thanks to my sister, Cindy. ------------------ More about my background; in November 1987, I moved to Seattle, Washington after living in the Los Angeles area for about 30+ years. In July 2000, I relocated to Eugene, Oregon, to work at a TV station called KVAL Ch 13. In March 2004, I relocated to Beaverton, Oregon. When I was unemployed in January 1992, for about two years, I learned how to be a Locksmith through a mail ordering school, Foley-Belsaw Company. After I completed the course, I bought my tools, key blanks, and some lock picking tools to open cars and most any t...Expand for more
ype of locks. I have done a few locksmithing jobs that just paid for all my locksmithing supplies. My business name back then was and is now Mark's Locksmith Here are the odd places where I spent the night at around 1976-1978: - in my VW Bug off the I-5 freeway in between two semi-trucks. - at Cascade Lake in southern California. - at a co-worker's parent's house in Creswell, Oregon, and ended up sleeping in my friend's trailer behind their house in Creswell, Oregon. - at my annt's friend's house. I stayed there for about a week. - one night I walked to my Grandma's house and broke into her trailer. It was about midnight and I left about 5:30 am. - a few nights at Lake Isabella in Southern California at my grandpa's cabin. I slept outside the cabin in my sleeping bag. - in my step-dad's motorhome inside his big storage building. I stayed there a few weeks before he ask me to move in with him. Then about 6 months later he called and asked my Dad if i could stay with my Dad so I did for about 1 year. ------------------ In my spare time, I like to keep my little web hosting business up to date, work on my web sites, wait for people to call me if they get locked out of their car or need to re-key their home or business. I fill like I retired. I'm putting on the pounds, just taking it to easy. I'm sleeping until noon or 2 pm and going to bed about 2 am to 4 am. I'm bored and just lonely. ------------------ School: I wish that I wasn't so shy in school because I missed out on dating pretty girls from my school. And there was many to choose from! I did like many girls at my school, just off hand; Debra Graham, Bunni Jauregui, Penny Tippetts, Dawn Marie Green, Darlene Inscho, Nancy Heinrich, and Jeanine Erskine. I had bad ache, so maybe I though that I was to ugly and that nobody would date me. I did go out for track and came in second on the 110 yard dash. I remember on or about my last day at school, our mascot, I think her name was Karen Tippetts, say something to me and I just remembered that's it, no more school for me. So that was it. I dropped out and didn't have to go back to school. I got picked on a lot from 6th grade to 12th grade. In the 6th grade at Ulysses S Grant Elem School: I remember that I was held down and sand was put in my ear. Nothing happened to the students who did this. I also remember that Phil Catlett clapped me. And when my Mom came down to the school to give me something I told her what happened. My Mom and I went over to Phil's class to talk to Phil. Phil came out and talked to my Mom and my Mom ended up clapping Phil right in front of his class. In Hamilton Junior High School I got picked on by James Renwick, Rod Stratton, and Pete Vallett. One day in class I remember that Rod came behind me and put a jock strap over my head and right away I threw it in front of the class. The teacher looked at me and I said "I'm not going to get it!" and then he looked at Rod and I think someone came and picked it up. One day next to my locker for some reason James Catlett hit me in the month. I also remember that I also blacked out. One day in shop class, in the 8th or 9th grade, Rod was picking on me so bad that I tried to hit him. Well I missed. So Rod hit me in the month in class. I went up to the teacher and while I was waiting my turn to talk to the teacher Rod was asking me many times not to tell on him. So after a while I ended up not telling on Rod and from that day on Rod never picked on me again. But Pete still picked on me all the way thru High School. Pete would walk behind me and kick under my feet each time I would walk. James would just call me names because I have small ears. ------------------ Look me up! ------------------ My Classmates Membership will end on 03/26/2011. Then I will wait for a few months before paying three months again.
