Life
Hi, it's Mark,
After graduating from FCHS in '85 and kicking around (somewhat aimlessly) at Purdue and IUS I made a smart move (in hindsight) and joined the Army in 1988. After boot camp and advanced training I married the love of my life, Sharlene (Charlie). We met in the service, have two great boys Jason (13) and Cameron (7), and have been married for almost 15 years. We have been stationed in North Carolina, Washington state, Bavaria (Germany), and Colorado. I've also been stationed/deployed alone to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Korea, Japan, Thailand, and the Balkans. h that experience have decided to settle (eventually) in Colorado. The West suits our outdoor and ice hockey lifestyle. We have a house on 8 acres on the plains with a fantastic view of Pikes Peak and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. If you've paid any notice to world events then you know what the military's special operations forces have been doing lately, that's what makes it a career and not a job. It's been a fun ride so far and I have at least five more years before I think about hanging it up and retiring. I've given some thought to teaching school when I retire from the service but have totally committed to that path.
