Mark's Story
Fairbanks was good to me, after leaving Lathrop I entered the University and was married to Debbie McFarland for a couple of years. The Pipeline came along and I later remarried to Kathi Miller a Pipeline transplant from Augusta, GA - We had three great children.
After serving on the City Council and later joining Motorola - my work on large scale communication systems took me and the family to the lower 48 where I led the construction of a fair number of cellular systems.
My career then began to mature and led me to create many of my inventions - by 1999 I had developed the first national VoIP network and Softs...Expand for more
witch - then semi retired to Sarasota Florida.
Today I lead the development of a number of sustainable greenfield communities - one of the first was the Babcock Ranch "America's first All Solar City" and have a number of additional developments planned for the next decade.
I also find time to serve in an advisory roll to help develop our National Broadband plan and Smart Grid.
I am recently divorced and have two wonderful Grand Children - the kids have grown up and lead wonderful lives - we are spread across the country and with the advent of some of the technology and networks that I helped create stay in touch.
