Mark's Story
Life
After graduation, I spent a few months at Universal Technical Institute before leaving that school to join the U.S. Army.
After graduating top of my class in basic training and mechanic school at Fort Dix, NJ, I moved around from New Jersey to Hawaii to Australia to Virginia to New Mexico to Virginia...lots of travel during my 5 years in the service...
I left the Army in 1994. After that, I stayed in the automotive business.(should be no surprise...I lived in Auto Shop during high school!) I worked for a dealer, a couple of independents, and a fleet leasing company between 1994-2000. I also achieved ASE Master Auto and Master Truck Technician status.

a Motors as an instructor. After 4 years of teaching, I moved to California to work at the corporate office. After 4 years working with vehicle service information, diagnostic systems, and special tools, I transferred back to Illinois to manage the Consumer Affairs team.
I married in 1991; I have a boy (age 15) and a girl (age 16).
I still play guitar, and I still own the guitar that I used throughout high school. I record songs at home and post them on my website at sarge62436.com
I'm currently working on a new song, "Black Penny", dedicated to a pet Great Dane who passed away in 2007.
I also finished my Internet Programming degree (Magna Cum Laude) this year.
