Mark's Story
Life
I met my wife Leslee at Texas Conference Campmeeting in 1976 at one of the youth meetings and we hit it off immediately. We spent the week hanging out together, and at the end of the week we decided that we should stay in touch with each other. After that summer, Leslee and her folks moved out to Richmond, VA. Leslee went to Shenandoah Valley Academy and I went to Sandia View Academy. We wrote each other for 2 years and then in 78 after she graduated, she decided to go to Columbia Union College In Takoma Park, Maryland to take nurses training. I decided that I would try college and followed her to CUC. We got married May 4, 1980. We have basically stayed in the Baltimore/Washington area since and currently live in Eldersburg, Maryland, about 20 miles west of Baltimore. r about a year. As far as hobbies go, I raced motorcycles in the late 80's to the early 90's, took up golf after that, and most recently have taken flying lessons and got my pilot's license.
The latest news. We bought a house in Hagerstown, MD October of 2007. A much quieter place to live than Eldersburg.
We have three children. The oldest is Mark Jr. He is 25, married and lives with his wife in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He is an aircraft mechanic with Shuttle America. Next is Michael, 23, still single, living in Silver Spring, MD, less than an hour from us. He is going to Maryland University part time, working at Washington Adventist Hospital as a receptionist, and is in the Maryland Air Force National Guard. And last but not least is Melissa, 17, who has just moved down to Alexandria, Va, about 1 1/2 hours from us. She is taking an internship at a dog grooming facility so that she can get her license and have her own dog grooming business.
