Mark's Story
Life
After graduating from the U of Delaware in 1976 I worked in Scranton, PA and Clifton, NJ. I joined DuPont in sales and was transferred to Los Angeles about 1979 where I met my wife, Julieann, a transplant from Rhode Island. She had three children from a prior marriage, a three year old daughter and two sons, five and seven. In 1981 I was transferred to Portland and have been in the same house ever since.
I coached soccer and led a cub scout unit as the kids grew up. My wife went to school and became an RN. The kids all live nearby. I have a seven...Expand for more
year old grandson who I see several times a week and keeps me on my toes.
I left DuPont soon after moving to Portland and became involved in a relatively obscure business, the design of printed circuit boards. I've spent nearly 17 years in that business in sales and management roles.
I try to stay active, still playing basketball from time to time, along with bicycleing. I regret that I have not been back to Delaware since my sister's wedding in about 1984?, so I have not kept in touch with some of the friends that I had both in high school and college.
