Mark's Story

After our '73 graduation I worked my way through college finally graduating in '78 from Eastern Washington University with a Business degree. After a failed gubernatorial team role in Idaho in '78 I ended up in Dallas, TX. Rachel del Aguila and I married in late '78. After some more study I worked as an aerospace engineer through the 80s continuing to live in Dallas where our three children were born. In '91 I took a two year leave of absence to work with a mission organization in Spain providing admin support for work across North Africa, the ME, and Persian Gulf region. The two years stretched to 21 years until we returned to the mission...Expand for more
headquarters in 2012. I'm very involved in urban farming, especially with projects connected to aquaponics. Though living in a very urban part of Dallas we have two chickens in our backyard that have chosen us as their benefactors in exchange for the daily eggs. My current side hobby is working with a group of 'fanatics' that are working with the city council to ban Short Term Rentals in residential neighborhoods. 2024 may be the year I retire as we figure out how best to stay connected with our children/grandchildren located in Alabama, New Jersey, and Spain. We are looking forward to the 50th reunion this summer. Hope to see you there!
