Mark's Story
Life
Now living in N Michigan, just south of the Mackinac Bridge in a little town called Indian River (PO Box 247 / 49749). Love it up here, nice change of pace after 10 yrs in SW MI. Still have the mountains in my thoughts, after living 5 yrs in Colorado. Someday I'll make it up to the NW area of our country or British Columbia, but now totally cool up here and have a great job that keeps me fulfilled and happy with existence.
Single life gets a bit boring, but do have the freedom to explore on a whim and really enjoy this beautiful country up here. Surrounded by state land and water, not a bad combo. Almost a Mayberry,...Expand for more
close as I can get for now. Always dreampt of existing in a cabin in the woods in a sleepy town, finally came true.
Am estimating for a custom log home company (cedarhomes.com) am very fortunate to work with wonderful products and even greater people. Up north, we survive together and my co-workers are my family. Really nice way of doing it and now cannot imagine it any other way.
If you ever want to explore up here, have a place for you to crash and would be good to see some old friends again. I have not been back in the Portage area now for about 20 yrs. Cannot even imagine what that place is like now?
