Mark's Story
Where do you start? Without writing a long biography turning into a rambling of events that would only interest a few at best, Life has been an adventure and I¿ve ended up on my feet still kicking! After high school I attended Olympic Collage long enough to run out of money and still not knowing what way I was headed. I worked at Bangor in the aqueducts recreation program. I became the asst. manager, great job, coaching the swim team and teaching Marines to swim etc. Fun stuff but no money. I then worked framing houses for Murray Franklyn, did that for about 4 years. I really enjoyed it except in winter. Then I got a job at Service Plumbing. At that point I guess I got caught in the swirl and I¿ve been in the Plumbing industry ever since. Really now¿. Who would ever think, ¿I¿m going to be a Plumber when I grow up¿. Crazy huh? I worked for two other companies and now I am a factory representative in the Puget Sound region. required some travel, mainly in the US but I have been to Europe also. I don¿t travel much now. I met my wife and got married in 1980. We have three children, Shane (30), Tim (27), and Sara (25). All are successful and on their own, except on the weekends when they come home to raid the pantry and liquor cabinet. The Kids and I try to backpack as often as possible, generally four or five times during the summer. Time has continued to pass too fast but thanks to the power of the mind I still feel young, (except in the morning!). I had a bout with cancer four years ago, but that¿s done and over. After that its easy to forget about the small stuff and enjoy what life has to offer. It¿s easy to get caught up with doing what needs to be done without taking the time to enjoy what we have done. I currently live on 5 acres in Graham with our three dogs, and other animals. Enough said. Feel free to give me a shout if you care to. Take care.
