Mark's Story
Life
I am currently living in Nipomo running my own concrete business. My wife and I own Mudman Concrete Company. We have 4 children between the two of us. I have 2 with my ex-wife and 1 with an ex-girlfriend. My wife has a daughter that I have adopted so we are just one big blended family and loving it. My wife, Kelli and I like to do just about any type of activity together and with the kids. We have been married for 11 years. Kelli is a Realtor with Century 21 in Pismo Beach. It took us a while to find each other, but we are here now. We try to spend lots of family time together and share lots of exciting experiences with our 2 youngest living at home. We have traveled to Kauai, Cabo, a cruise and other smaller trips. We did attend the 20 year class reunion together and had a great time catching up with everyone. I actually graduated out of Lopez but did most of my classes at AGHS. I didn't really do any College, but I do attend regular classes and seminars on all the new things they come up with concerning concrete and business maintenance. I enjoyed my years at AGHS and like the questions say the thing I would like to do all over in school would be to learn more, take it more seriously and definitely date more. My life could have been changed drastically had I seen more of the people available in life.
Workplace
I enjoy owning my own company although now I understand the phrase it's hard to find good help. Everyone wants to get paid on Friday but nobody wants to work to get it. My wife handles all the books for me and keeps work running smooth for me. I take great pride in my work and feel that it shows in our finished product. Everyone seems to know or have heard of the Mudman so I think we are doing alright.
