Mark's Story
Life
How has everybody been? I have stayed in the Garland area all these years. I have worked with many volunteer organizations (especially the Jaycees). I have been divorced about 7 years and have two girls Charis 27 and Julie 21. I spend alot of time singing at Karaoke places in Dallas County and enjoy making new friends. I am the President of the Garland Scholarship Association and also enjoy being the Director of the Garland Junior Miss pageant held over the Labor Day weekend at Central Park in Garland. Our winner competes at the Texas Junior Miss in San Antonio. I have run into a few classmates that had their daughters in my program. One of them even won. If you see me in Scooters or Bleachers during Karaoke nights come up and say hi. They know me as Marko. ove and we started going out. Some of you may remember Fran Cloud from 1974 Senior class. We will be getting married on June 28th, 2003 right here in Garland. I have never been happier and I owe alot of it to fate and Classmates.com. We will see you at the reunion as Mr. and Mrs. Mark Oleson. Since I wrote this I have been married 2 1/2 years to Fran and have never been happier. The night of the reunion our Garland Junior Miss Shannon Essenpries became the new Texas Junior Miss and went on to Alabama and captured the America's Junior Miss title and you guessed it she graduated from Garland High School. My job with Northrop Grumman took me out to Phoenix, Arizona and I have been here for 1 1/2 years. We have an apartment here and still have my house in Garland so we will be coming back in about 5 years. Hope everyone is as happy as I am. Mark and Fran
