I left Ohio in the fall of 1980 in search of palm trees and sunshine. West Palm Beach,Fla.was my home from 1980 to 2000. During those years I raised three children,Aaron,now 27,Tiffany,26 and Matthew,19. When Aaron was accepted at Georgia Tech we moved to the Atlanta area from 2000 to 2004. Too cold in the winter for us we had to move back to Florida. The kids all stayed in Georgia and are all still there today. Now the fun begins! My wife won a cruise to the Caribbean. Island Fever.Several cruises,dozens of trips,which has included dive vacations [We are both certified rescue divers with 400 dives] we decided to "live the life that we've imagined".On July 9th 2009 My wife and I boarded a plane with our two cats, very few personal possesions and left the mainland for our big adventure. Three months in we are adjusting well to island life,and it is a VERY BIG adjustment. There have been moments of doubt about the move,which I guess is normal,but when I look out of my window all those doubts fade away. The view that we have of the beautiful blue ocean is worth everything we gave up to be here.
