Mark's Story
Life
I live in Minneapolis and have been an optometrist for 30 years. I work with a great group of people. I have three children. Geoff is 28 and works for the Minnesota OSHA office. He lives in south Minneapolis not far from me. He is also a lieutenant in the Illinois National Guard. He was deployed in Iraq for 15 months during 2006/2007. Geoff leaves in February for a year of training in the US Army's Special Forces School at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Leslie is 24 and lives in Eau Claire, WI. She has been working and going to college. She enjoys her lifestyle and has a large group of friends to keep her busy. She is in the Wisconsin National Guard. She leaves for deployment to Iraq in January 2009. She works at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital and goes to school. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend who is a graphic artist.
I spend my time biking, running, or walking around the lakes or the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.I still enjoy reading, mainly historical fiction, and working in the yard.....although clearing snow from the sidewalk and driveway can get old in the winter! I also enjoy listening to live music whether it's Irish or R & R....... I try to find time to go to northern Minnesota to canoe camp in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area. I try to plan my trips in the Fall when the bugs aren't as bad, the temperature is cooler, and the Fall colors are beautiful.
It's been a long time since I've lived in TN....I'd enjoy hearing from Central HS friends.
