Mark's Story
Life
Spent 25 years in the Air Force, 12+ active duty and 12+ reserve as a medic, specifically orthopedics and later also as a Total Quality Management instrutor/coordinator. I spent 5 ½ yrs at Vandenburg AFB (CA), 2 yrs at Yokota AB (Japan), 4 yrs at the Air Force Academy Hosp (CO) and a few months at Sheppard AFB (TX) before entering the AF Reserves here in No CA (Mather AFB and Travis AFB). I retired from the reserves in 1997 at the grade of SMSgt (E-8).

rtified orthopedic technologist at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA, since 1985, specializing in trauma (in-pt areas and the E.R., Level I Trauma Center). My wife Sandy and I have 4 children, 21-28 (Dustin, Gina, Marcus and Michael), one grandchild (Ethan James) and do foster care for infants/toddlers. We both also work as neighborhood watch coordinators and are very active members in the Sacramento Metro Fire ÂCommunity Emergency Response Team (CERT).
In my spare time, Sandy and I take trips on our Burgman 650A Scooter and RV around No. Calif. I also play the acoustic guitar and enjoy gardening, remodeling our home and of course, photography.
