Mark's Story
Life
I've had many careers over years but the most important aspect of life is family.
I became a single father in 1985 and had the joy of raising three incredibly inspiring daughters. The oldest 2 have provided 7 grandchildren to the litter.
Deanna is the oldest living in IOWA and is raising 2 boys, 2 girls and a husband. She and her husband have fostered as many as 8 Christian children at once who's parents had died in accidents.
Rachel is raising 3 sons and a husband. They live in Canada and Scott manages a Christian radio ministry sporting 800 radio stations Globally.
Cindy is still single and travels with a small Christian ensemble singing for the Lord coast to coast. They actually travel in MC Hammer's old tour bus! Their home base is in Atlanta, Georgia.
Yes....they're all spread out but are still as close as one could imagine and I'm so proud of them. I'm so grateful for free long distance on our cell phones.
I'm currently on disability. I contracted a rare cold virus in Jan of '04...Expand for more
that can and did attack my heart. My heart is now enlarged. When it first manifested itself my heart was only pumping 15% and was on a heart transplant list until Feb of '05. My condition has only improved to 35% as of Feb of '06.
My last gig was in Public Relations for BMW in Roseville, CA (just east of Sacramento). I'm so anxious to go back to work someday soon. If you pray please add me to your list.
I realized and accepted the sacrifice of Christ for me in 1962 and am still in awe of His plan of redemption. I trust that most of you have settled with the Lord . We're only getting closer to the grave you know. Some of us have one foot on the old preverbial banana peal.
John 3:16 & 17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoesoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. vs17 - For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved."
