Mark's Story

After high school I went to work for the Pender Company at 442 Cedar Street, delivering furniture. In Dec 1981 I went to work at Matera Paper company at 101 Oak, and in May I went into sales which was not my best strength, but for 6 years had a blast working all over Abilene and surrounding towns. nd talked to a lot of business people, and custodial people because one of my main items was custodial supplies. Later I spent about 25 years in 8 different hospitals in the housekeeping department, so much time that I wrote a short book on the subject. If I have any luck, will retire in Abilene. Yes, will go home one last time, where I prefer to be.
