Thereafter I went to UCBerkeley. I was not ready for the university and should have done something else for a couple of years first. In any event, I graudated in Micro. I worked for a couple of years and then went back to school. I worked on a Master's at SFSU. I was admitted to UCSF where I finished a Ph.D and postdoc. I met my wife at UCSF. We have two boys, one of whom went to Lincoln. The oldest went to Lowell and then eventually graduated from UCLA in PolySci. He lived in Taiwan for 1.5 years and traveled a lot in Asian. He works in the tech sector. My youngest works in the hotel industry.

My Spanish is pretty good now, having traveled to Chile numerous time. It is a real handy asset to have in California. Saludos, Mark
