Mark's Story

Life Right after Grossmont I entered the US Army for a period of three years. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Those who knew me in high school probably would agree with that;) After returning home, I went back to school and decided to study physics. As it turns out, it's tough to make a living doing that sort of thing. Realizing this, I decided to switch my studies to the Computer Sciences. After attending SDSU, I started my career as a software engineer(also known as a computer geek). I've been working in this field ever since, including co-founding a local company, Calliope Media. In 1999 I married my beautiful wife Alyson, an attorney from New York. We have a son Joshua(born in August 2000), who is a wonderful, happy, and sweet child. I know, and ...Expand for more
yes, he's really mine! In 2005 I decided to sell my partnership share, go back to work full time and work remotely from our new home.....in Idaho! ...and no, I'm not a farmer:) Anyway, that's what I've been doing, for what it's worth... Update: We moved to North Carolina and are now living in Chapel Hill. We miss Idaho a lot, but always were curious about NC. It's been fun doing the east coast thing. Though the beach is about 2.5 hours away, it's very green here and Joshua has really taken to the area. He just turned 13 in August! Time flies...but I don't need to tell you that right? Hope to get out to San Diego soon for a visit! -Mark Military After High School I joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer. My primary duty station was Bad Kissengen, Germany.
