Mark's Story

Life I'm married and have five daughters, they are all grown and Married. I have fourteen grandchildren. I've been commuting to my office by bicycle and bicycle touring with my wife on our tandem for the last 30+ years and average between 4000-6000 miles a year. the last 20 years, but recently sold it for a new Mustang convertible. Life is grand, I'm retired. I've been working for the MN Dept of Employment and Economic Development for over 41 years doing employment and training, with the majority of my time in business services. Now I'm just enjoying the freedom of retirement.

Grandkids
Mary and I biked out to Victoria and stopped at Ruby’s Roost Bakery for their famous caramel rolls. We got in 26.7 miles and had a good time.
Mary and I did a bike ride out to Stillwater today using the Gateway and Brownie Creek State bike trails. We met Mary’s sister and her husband for lunch at a restaurant on the river. We had a great time.
Mary and I went to the Fair yesterday, the 23rd, and had a great time. It was packed! I put in 24,322 steps and didn't get everything in! Go figure! We are going back.
Mary, Katie (granddaughter) and I spent the day at the Fair. The highlight of my day was getting on the Ucare “quin”cycle. It was a great day!
Our granddaughter Katie moved out this morning. Job ended and she’s heading back to college. We’ll miss her, she was a great house guest.
This is how Mary and I travel, no matter how far the distance. 😊

We went out to Ann and Bills for tomatoes so we can start canning salsa tomorrow. She gave us a bunch of veggies. We had a nice time visiting.

I got out for my first ride in the snow this morning. It was a lot of fun!
Mary and I had a wonderful evening last night at a St Paul Chamber Orchestra Concert. It was amazing!
We had a great time at Steve and David’s Concert last night in Pequot Lakes.
Goodness, it’s a little chilly out there this morning. 😕
