Mark's Story
Life
My wife, Jill and I have three kids, John-Mark, Jessica and Jordan. We live in Lodi, CA. My wife is an ESL coordinator at Lodi High school and I am an associate professor at the University of the Pacific. I teach classes in physiology and pharmacology.
I spend nearly all of my free time either with my kids, or doing home remodeling projects. My kids love pets so we have dogs, cats, goats, chickens and a goldfish (which lives in the goats water trough). You can ask my wife about all the remodeling projects - that is her passion.
We enjoy camping, backpacking and visiting with our extended families.
College
I did my undergraduate years at Wheaton College, IL, a Maste...Expand for more
r's at UC Santa Barbara and at California State University, Sacramento. My wife and I both got our doctorates at Florida State University and I did a post-doc in Pharmacology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. I'm still in college, but now I have tenure as a professor at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
Workplace
My research focuses on the role of the immune system in producing alterations in sympathoadrenal function in patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. We are currently doing a research project in Salt Lake City and another at the University of the Pacific. I work closely with Dr. Chris Snell, Staci Stevens and Dr. Cindy Bateman.
