Mark's Story
Life
Mark Whitlock believes that we live in a parable culture. ÂFriedrich Nietzsche once said that, ÂBetter songs would they have to sing, for me to believe in their Saviour. I believe our culture is saying ÂTell me a better story and then IÂll believe in Jesus.ÂÂ
Mark began communicating through Christian broadcastingÂfirst at Focus on the Family and then at FamilyLife. He served as the engineer and producer for the daily radio program ÂFamilyLife Today for five years. Mark became the acquisitions editor for FamilyLife Publishing in 1998. He has been responsible for and contributed as an author to more than ten FamilyLife resources including Passport to Purity, Jonah: A Very Veggie Family Adventure (published in cooperation with Big Idea), and t...Expand for more

In 2004, Mark joined Thomas Nelson Ministry Services as a consultant where he helps ministries in the Eastern U.S. with strategic planning, donor development, product development, author relations, and custom publishing. He recently helped sign Dr. Don WiltonÂs first book, Totally Secure, with the company.
Mark serves as the senior writer for ÂDown Gilead Lane, a childrenÂs radio drama produced by CBH Ministries. A frustrated novelist, Mark hopes to finish his novel, The Ledgers, by December 1st. Of course this is the same goal heÂs had every year since 2000.
He lives and laughs with his wife, and their three children in Nashville, Tennessee. Kaye and Mark are in the process of adopting from China.
