Mark's Story
Met my wife Nancy at University of Kansas, graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1976 and we married in Dec. 1976.She graduated in May of 1977 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Worked for the Kansas Dept. of Transportation for 4 years, living primarily in Topeka. Moved to the Jackson MS area in late 1980. Nancy basically grew up in New Orleans, so we moved to be closer to her family and to get away from the Kansas winters.
I worked for a consulting engineering firm for 3 years, then the City of Jackson for 3 years and now am a Vice President with a regional civil engineering firm called Neel-Schaffer since 1986.

il for many years, then worked in telecommunications and since 1993 has been an occupational therapist with the Veterans Administation Hospital.
Our oldest Matt was born in March 1980 and second son Jared born in October 1982. Matt graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 and Jared graduated with a BS in Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Tennessee in 2004.
Did make it back to the 10th reunion but have not made many trips back to Kansas. Last trip back was several years ago to go to a University of Kansas homecoming game.My folks still live at the same place I grew up in Merriam.
