Mark's Story
Life
For everyone out there, Yes, I am still the silly and kind of strange person I have always been. No sense in changing a winning hand. (LOL) I live in Des Moines, Iowa. Live in the ÂHistoric District (ThatÂs Latin for ÂYou have more building regulations and larger property taxesÂ) and generally have a good time doing whatever I am doing.
I am a Financial Counselor (Not a biller, for those that work in the medical arena.) at a county hospital. I assess patients for their ability to pay, eligibility for Federal, State, County, and Local entitlements, and provide counseling in regards to their financial status. Good health is more than a doctorÂs visit. No money means no access to care or drugs.
I also dabble in Youth HIV education, Building (And occasional destroying) computers, Creating home networks, Restoring an old 1888 Victorian home, Passing time and shedding stress in VEGAS. (...Expand for more
It is great having family in VEGAS!) And cheap non-stop airfares from here don't hurt much either.
I am HAPPILY partnered. For five years now. (I was told to say the happy bit, and that it would make me happy.....<SMILE>) I would be smart not to use other terms like "Ball and chain", or "The roommate". I really hate the dog house and the puppy does not like snoring for some reason. <SMILE> The things we do to please our spouses......I actually had to hand over the remote for a week. Pure torture. NO MORE COOKING SHOWS! ha ha ha. We are your basic stay at home people. We just invite everyone else over. We cook, clean, chase the dog around, attend conferences (With luck, located in a city we havenÂt been to yet.) play video games, go to concerts and hold great season tickets at the theater. (Don't want to loose our seats, took long enough to get them.)
