Mark's Story
I attended 2 High Schools, Holy Name High School in W. Reading, Pa. for my freshman year in 1966 and then after our family moved to Southfield, Michigan that summer I enrolled in Southfield High School. So, my Sophomore thru Senior years were as a student of SHS. My High School years were quite an adjustment having attended only private parochial schools in prior years. Then too the enormous size of this public school was another adjustment to face. We had over 1100 students in our graduating class alone and many of the students knew each other from their previous Jr. High Schools. I missed the friends I had left from Reading, Pa. Years later I seriously considered attending the Holy Name HS Reunion in that I often felt that I needed to revisits those long lost friends.

involved in competitive Target Archery and was an altenate for the 1972 Olympic Archery Team. This required a fair amount of travel to participate in tournaments at the state and national level. My high school girlfriend Eilene Nagy and I continued our relationship through our Junior year at MSU where I pursued a degree in Veterinary Medicine while Eilene was preparing for Medical School. While I never did become a Vet....as a Financial Advisor I do find myself in the position to support worthwhile charities involved in improving the conditions of life for animals, wildlife and pets in addition to serving our nation's youth through a position on the Board of a Directors for the Boy Scouts of America.
