Mark's Story
Life
Hello, Everyone!!!, It's been a while since I visited "Classmates", I,ve had some success connecting with past friends... really cool site! I have had a very wonderful and diverse life so far, I have worked in the "Sign" industry all my life and have really enjoyed great rewards with our business Cal Sign Wholesale, inc and MRG Group, (partnerships with my brothers Roger & Greg). I have been married to a "Downey Duck" louise, for 27 years. We have 3 children, Joshua (25, a probation officer), Brandon (23, journeyman Welder/fabricator, at Calsign...of course), Charlee (20, a fabulous hairdresser). I still workout with passion, though I don't perform in Bodybuilding competitions anymore... I haven't seen too many of you guys in so many years. I hope to hear from some of my old friends! I will post some pics as soon as I get the time,(myself, kids, etc.). I can tell you that I learned a lot about life & suffering and how to deal with it after I lost my Brothers' Tommie, Gary & terry and then my Dad (Tom), they all passed away in an 8 year period...I learned how not to worry about the petty things! A couple of years ago I had to pick up my neice from practice at Davis High, so I walked around the entire Campus! I almost had tears in ...Expand for more
my eyes when I would go by the particular classrooms and places that were fond to me way back when! Memories just poured into my mind...WOW! Incredible.
It's inspiring to see Coaches' Gonsalves & Lanphear still involved with Football 25+ years after we were on the team. It's really nice to "bump" into old school mates from time to time. The last 2 times I saw Jeff Anderson was at funerals for family, Dave Bobbitt parked next door to my old building on 10th st. so we chatted, I used to see Rich Cody at MJC football games or the Gym! I still see my best buddy i've had since high school, Chris Reed on a regular basis. I would love to see more of my old friends from the past. I hope that all of you are doing well and that you are living life to the fullest! I have to say that I have been blessed in sooo many ways! I have an incredible wife, she was & is my 1st Love...3 beautiful children, a great career...what more could I ask for??? I attended the 30yr class reunion...it was great! So many familiar faces from the past! It was awesome to mingle with you guys...It's amazing how we all have experienced so much life! the good the bad & the ugly... I do wish that more people could have attended, but there's always next time! see ya later, Mark
