Life After graduating, I did everything from waiting tables, insurance, bartending, custom glass and mirror work for 6 years before finally deciding to join the Navy in '88 as an avionics technician. I was stationed in San Diego for 8 years at both NAS North Island and then NAS Miramar. I then spent 2 years stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Came back to the States for 2 years at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. Japan is the bomb, so I volunteered to go back and do a tour aboard the USS Kitty Hawk homeported in Yokosuka, Japan. Stayed there until May '05. I'm now doing my last tour before retiring in '08 at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. Overall, the Navy has been one long roller coaster ride filled with highs and lows. I've travelled throughout the South Pacific, Asia, Middle East and Africa (saw Somalia from the ship). I finally got married in Dec. '05, and plan to have children in the not so distant future. My family moved to the Phoenix area after the big earthquake centered in Northridge in the '90's. I'm still a big kid. Got both an Xbox 360 and a PS2, and love to play video games in my spare time.
