Mark's Story
Since I finished my Master's in Geology at MSU (NEVER! bet against Izzo in March!) in 1984, I've been working for the State of Michigan as a Geologist in environmental protection.
I've played volleyball semi-competitively since '75, and still hit the gym or beach at least once a week although the net seems to be getting higher!
Volleyball's such a big part of my life that I did a 6-year stint coaching HS girls JV but, since that's about as easy as herding cats I moved to officiating - HS and Div. II NCAA. Much easier (and I'm a lot bette...Expand for more

I married Laura 20 years ago this coming Labor Day, and it's been the best part of my life. We live in a vacation destination, on the shore of Lake Superior. Remote woods just five minutes from our door, with mountains vistas, waterfalls and quiet trails, beautiful summers, and LOT'S of snow for skiing, sledding, skating & snowshoeing (all of which we do as much as possible). Marquette often gets a "Top 5 Destination" rating from national magazines for our miles of mountain biking trails.
