Marla's Story

Here is my life in a nutshell. I live with my husband of 18 years on a ranch 20 miles north of Madras. We share in the lives of our two children(Eldo & Sarah), and a wonderful daughter in law(Kristi). Our son lives in Tillamook where he works at the mill, and our Kristi is a nurse. She just won the Daisy Award for being a wonderful nurse. Our daughter Sarah lives in Anchorage Alaska where she is a lawyer for a great lawfirm GROH EGGERS, LLC. Is a outdoors freak, and I love her enthusiasum for life. My husband is a cattle rancher, and I help him out when he needs me. I worked with Columbia River Bank in charge of the proof department, until I left in 1999. Now I work two days a week with Country Natural Beef, whose finance office is only eight miles away from my house. So it works out pretty sweet for me to pop up there two days a week, and then have time and spare money for my addiction....Quilting. A friend of mine, my mom, and myself make quilts for the Kids Center in Bend for abused children. We call our little group COMFORT GIVING. We have also made quilts for Katrina, Dream Kids at Westside Church, and mission trips to Ek Balam. Our passion is f...Expand for more
or the kids, so we buy the fabric, make, and donate our quilts to these wonderful children. God has blessed me abundantely with a PERFECT husband, three wonderful young adults in our lives, and the opportunity to still spend lots of time with my mom. Who still lives at our family home in Bend, which I grew up in...I have met a number of people I count as good friends in my lifetime, and look forward to those who will be brought into my path in the future. My biggest regret in High School was being so afraid of everyone, that I could not even give my treasure speech. Now I relize you were all just as scared in one way or another, and you know you were!!!! If I hurt anyone's feelings in High School, forgive me for being childish. My goal is to live a life that pleases Christ, and is more helpful to others. I want to be remembered as the girl who would listen to every ones problems, give them hugs, and encourage them to continue on the path of life. I am thankful that each day gives us the chance to become a better person. So, LOVE, LIVE and LAUGH in each day you are given. The years are passing by.....Don't miss out. God Bless, Marla Perrigan Priday
