Marlene's Story
I retired from the Air Force in 1993, after 24 years, I kept my home in perfect order for a few months, then rapidly worked my way through the Univ of TX at San Antonio on the GI Bill for my degree in education. During my second year of teaching, I was offered a golden opportunity to get a masters degree in education with certification in instructional technology and ran with it. I taught for 17 years and retired the second time in June, 2016. Retirement is great!

ve been married for over 45 years to Mike, whom retired one month before me with 24 years in the AF also. He retired a second time from Civil Service, is a singer / guitarist.
My son Justin is divorced, a single parent of 4 children, works for the Toyota Tundra plant and my daughter Crystal is now retired from the Air Force as a medical technician as well as a Force Support Manager, is married and has two children. They have retired to Illinois. Very proud of both!
