Marlene's Story
Life
I married in '76, had 3 wonderful kids, divorced in '96. I went back to school in '96 and fulfilled my lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. I live in the wonderful city of Hastings with my youngest son and 4 sweet dogs.
I am in the process of adopting a little girl from Texas. She just joined my family 2 days ago. (It is Sept24, 2006!) She will be my legal daughter in 3 months.

s a nursing assistant at (then) Swedish hospital to see if it was the type of environment I would like to work, as I considered nursing for a long time. I went to nursing home care for a few years until the birth of my first child, took a 13 year break while raising disabled sons and a daughter, then began working in home care in 1991. When my youngest son was 11 I went back to college, became a nurse and I am still doing home care.
