Marlene's Story
Living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and teaching mathematics and Mathematics education at the University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Coast. Survived Katrina here and Rita at mom's-- moved here about a week before Katrina after selling my house in Houma. Lost stuff but survived.
Lived here and there then in a FEMA trailer --so went from Houma to Homeless to Home on wheels in ...Expand for more
a few months.
Life is good. Live near the beach with my three four legged babies -- two gray cats and a new orange tabby.
I love what I do, still don't like grading papers. Being part of the rebuilding of USM-Gulf Coast is rough at times but we will make it happen.
Have met some great people. Get to have lunch on the beach now and then.
